Stickshifts and safetybelts

1967 Corvair 500
My first car.  I love it.

You may ask-"how did you come to be the owner of this fabulous car?"
Well, my father collects vintage Corvairs

This is "Cherri"
One of our other Corvairs-much cleaner than mine.
My car's name is "Sammy Davis Junior Jr."

Why "Sammy Davis Junior Jr."?
Well, read Everything is Illuminated

So, this is Ralph Nader's book about how Corvairs are big metal death-traps.
And I get the joy of driving one every day.

Sewing with a fork.

So, Mckenzie and I thought it ould be lovely to get some Chinese take-out and have a picnic.
But, they forgot to give us forks, so the fun ensued.

And, being us, of course we took pictures.

Old. New. Borrowed. Blue.

I love those outfits that kind of magically create themselves.
You just throw something on, and it looks amazing.
Some of my favorite outfits have been created when I was just to lazy to do laundry, so I started digging through older clothes.

The dress and belt are vinatege things I've picked up in thrift stores.
White cardigan and grey derss: Kohl's

What holds the universe together

Formerly, duct tape was just a way to silence the half-naked man in your trunk, or to fix things.  But, astonishing advances have been made.  Duct tape is now often seen as an artistic tool, or even a clothing item.

I even found this punk-rock inspired "Duct tape dress" on ThisNext.
But, some of the wilder people out there have taken it a step further, creating entire outfits of the famous bonding adhesive.

Like myself.

Being that my school is utterly out-of-control, it would be understood why "Duct Tape Day" would be part of our Homecoming Spirit Week.  Right?
Either way, nobody in my school were quite as decked out in tape as my little dysfunctional family of friends.

Jennifer, Evan, Nicole, Emily, Linnea, and myself spent the two days prior to the main event contructing and perfecting our outfits.  Oh, and we where the talk of the school.

Just another tale to add to the infinite leged of us.
